After 2 years of research with agricultural scientists, along with usage of the findings of global research, we discovered that water-based fungi are capable of degrading microplastic. Using the free and widely available water-based fungi in Bangladesh, we invented a new farming process called Plastic Farming.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We at MGI believe in sustainability and respect for nature. That\u2019s why we came up with a solution that can benefit both the farmers and the environment. We call it Plastic Farming, a project that transforms plastic bottles into floating farms. \u200b\u200b<\/p>

We partnered with Bidyanondo, a local NGO, to spread the word and train the farmers. We also collaborated with local authorities and farming communities to collect plastic from the waterways. We taught them how to make and use plastic floating beds to grow crops. We organized events in villages that had lost their farmland, created a free website and a video tutorial in Bangla, and made Plastic Farming available\u00a0to\u00a0everyone.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
